The Meyerhoff Center for Jewish Studies has inaugurated
a post-doctoral fellowship program. Fellows are invited
to campus to pursue their research and prepare their doctoral
dissertations for publication. The Center pays them a stipend
and health benefits, provides an office and library privileges,
and expects fellows to teach one course during their time
on campus. The first post-doctoral fellowship, for the academic
year 2000–2001, was in Israel Studies.
